Deciding which wallpaper to use while remodeling has been made a lot easier. 

There have been advances in wallpaper technology that will benefit you and the environment.  It is easier than ever now to install wallpaper and the newer technology means that it comes down dry and with no chemical use.  One of the newest is the nonwoven wall coverings now available. 

If you have not heard of nonwoven wall coverings, here is a brief over view: They are made of both natural and synthetic fibers.  This means that the wallpaper is now both washable and breathable.  The same material used for the wall covering is used in other common items, such as coffee filters, tea bags, and gauze.

Since it breathes there is no vapor lock that can create mildew and mold, like the older wallpapers do.  This type of wallpaper is great for bathrooms and kitchens.

Non woven wallpaper coverings are the most user friendly wallpaper on the market today.  Whether your a do it yourselfer or a professional they are extremely easy to use and require very little effort to install. 

Another reason being is that they do not expand or contract like other wallpapers available.    You are able to paste the wallpaper and install on the wall immediately.

 It is tear resistant, there is no tearing while installing the wallpaper or taking it down. If you need to reposition the paper, simply remove the entire strip and rehang.

  There are no seams either when it comes to this non woven paper, the seams just simply disappear.      Also, there is no wall damage when removing the wallpaper.  It can be completely dry when you remove it, there is no need for tools or water to take it down.  It will come down in full sheets and can actually be re-used again if you so desired.      

 Furthermore, non woven wallpapers come as both pasted and unpasted.  If you choose the pre-pasted, then apply water to the back, this will soften the adhesive.  There are pre-pasted activators you can use also or any additional light adhesive, however this really is not necessary.  If your using a un-pasted wallpaper, then apply the adhesive to the entire strip, use a non-staining adhesive is best.
